CARING FOR YOUR CARPET
ACCORDING TO THE MATERIAL
It is very important to know how to distinguish the material with which your rug has been made since the treatment in one or another case will be different depending on the texture.
Here are some tips that, in our opinion, will make your rugs more durable by collaborating with better maintenance.
WOOL
Wool rugs are extremely durable, making them well-suited for entryways, hallways, kitchens, and dining rooms.
Lanolin, a natural oil in wool, makes wool rugs more stain resistant than other materials. Shedding is inherent in wool rugs and occurs mainly in the first 3-6 months. All of our wool rugs use long staple wool, which is less prone to shedding than shorter fibers.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS :
• Rotate carpet every 3 months to prevent fading and uneven wear
• Vacuum regularly in one direction (not back and forth) using suction only, no bristles. Regular vacuuming will reduce shedding over time • Avoid pulling loose threads. If necessary, trim them so they are flush with the stack.
• Spot clean as needed with a damp (not wet) cloth under running water; do not use soap or cleaning products as they may damage or discolor the rug.
• For larger, deeper stains, send the rug to a professional service experienced in cleaning fine rugs.
BAMBOO SILK
TENCEL
Tencel ™ is made from wood pulp. It is known for its smooth feel and relaxed sheen that evokes the qualities of silk. The fiber's affinity for dye makes it capable of maintaining deep, vibrant colors. Tencel™ rugs are characterized by tonal variations that can be affected by the light in a room, as well as the angle from which the rug is viewed. Hopefully shifting highlights and lowlights in the rug's surface color are inherent in the design.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Turn the rug every 3 months to prevent discoloration and uneven wear.
• Vacuum as needed in one direction (not back and forth) using only suction, no bristles.
• Avoid rubbing stains, which makes them sit deeper.
• If cleaning is needed, send the rug to a professional service experienced in cleaning fine rugs.
• To preserve the life of the rug, we recommend using a rug pad.
JUTE
• Turn the rug every 3 months to prevent uneven wear and discoloration.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight as it will fade the color of the rug.
• Vacuum frequently, using a low-power vacuum, preferably one without a beater brush .
• Wipe up liquid spills immediately. Spot clean as needed with a damp white cloth only; avoid excess water and cleaning products as they could damage or discolor the rug.
• For larger, deeper stains, send the rug to a professional service experienced in cleaning natural fiber rugs.
• To preserve the life of the rug, we recommend using a rug pad.
